story of life

i have so much in my head, but im not sure how to let it out. i wanted to write on it, but when im on the page, i cant even find any word to start. taking countless deep breath trying to chase away the tears that welling up. but you know that sometime even those frequent batting eyelashes or exhaling frustration, the tears will come.

Allah, i need Your guidance always. He know we cant live alone. that is why He give us family, friends, colleague, housemates, room mates, and any acquaintance for you. these people sent to you by Him, as your comfort, your help and your support. but keep in mind that those COMFORT, HELP and SUPPORT are 100% from Him. and these people deliver it to us.

no one can affect my mood except God - quoted
25 days to university exam. im not sure about my preparation... need to be more serious, i know. hihi.. lets be His warriors and strive for mardhatillah :)

dentistry

raindrops and the monsoon always remind me of the first time i arrived here~

1st year, i learnt physiology, biochemistry, anatomy and dental anatomy and histology
but beneath that
what i actually learn was what STUDYING really is
the hours and the books
the tears and the sacrifices
and i also learn how INDIAN learning system
sent out of the class and shouted at in front of the whole class
unpredictable turn of events and the blame is ALWAYS on us

2nd year, and here come pharmacology, pathology, microbiology, dental material, prosthodontics, conservative dentistry
oh 1st year tears shed was nothing compare to this time
and i know, the person who need drugs the most is me
spending days in lab making dentures and torturing phantom head
come back to room with back pain, burn and cuts

alhamdulillah, by Allah's grace
im almost into 3 years
well, final exam first then (pray for me) 3rd year

Allâh burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us; our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maulâ (Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people

green earth

i feel so inferior when i look at the leaves, swinging happily on the tree
they provide for the tree
they serve as shade for human

their life span may be short
but, they remember Allah more than us

they obey Allah to all the ruling

and every second pass with nothing but Zikr Allah

MasyaAllah!

Allah is the best of planners

had planned to go to Dandeli for weeks now. but Allah has better plans for us :) He send us raining season to help us decide on whether to go or not to. me and friends been having this argument back and forth to predict when is the raining season starting (lol) since if it is raining season, it will be one dangerous place im sure. His guidance arrived fortunately before we make the reservation and pay deposit! thanks Allah!

Alhamdulillah, trial exam finished. and one lesson i learnt most this time is, Allah has the MOST POWER in everything. principle of tawakal is tested actually during exam time, and i hope i didnt fail in that test! Allah to You i pray and to You i hope :)

“They plan and Allah also plans. And Allah is the best of planners.” (Surah Imraan, verse 54)

guilty

i know im not the greatest friend you could ask for, might not even be that good as well. i do mistakes, i get hurt and at times i hurt people. im still learning and still under His tarbiyah. to annamirah, all i can say is, im sorry. understandable if you want to hate me, and never going to talk to me again.. well, you are not talking to me now already.... i deserve it i know.

anyhow, i admit i did a wrong deed and i cant apologize enough on that. take care dear, and be good. i love you much, always have always will insyaAllah (regardless whatever happen...)

uhubbuki fillah. salam syg dari India.

those time..

i remember those time when i start counting
days to fly back home
luggage packed months before
for the countdown started from the moment i step again in India

i remember those time when i arrive to Malaysia from India
those smiles and the excitements
the laughter and the hugs
no worry at all whats going on back at college
what matters most is now
but time does fly too fast

i remember those time when i have to say goodbye
if only they know how nervous i am each time
for leaving them behind is not what i want to do
the hugs felt different
and the tears fall with the steps
walking thro that lane alone

i remember those time when i arrive to India from Malaysia
with handful of heavy luggage
and arm decorated with scratches all over
from the fights with my sisters
but more that hurt is
the aching felt within
the urge to be back home again

yes i do remember each and every time
due each memory
glistening of eyes

i will be back again
i will go thro those time again
but
Allah placed me here
for He have bigger plans
:)

Honey Chicken

last time, i already asked dila for the recipe when she cooked chicken rice for us. since this dish is very easy to cook, and yummy, so i thought i want to do this again. then i realize i deleted the message containing this recipe so i had to ask Dila, again, for the recipe. to avoid this from happening again, might as well i put it up here hihi :) credit to Dila for the recipe

  1. marinate the chicken with ginger and garlic paste (since i already marinated all my chicken but you can just add before frying )
  2. fry the chicken until half cooked
  3. add garlic and sliced onion (optional), cook till brown
  4. add 8 spoons of honey, 2 spoons of soy sauce and 2 spoons of fish sauce (since i dont have fish sauce, i replace it with 1 spoon of oyster sauce)
  5. cook for 5-10 minutes under low heat
done :)

Empty Bubbles and The Chosen Ones

- HR Thabrani -
Di akhir zaman, kan Rasulullah dah ckp, umat Islam akan jadi sgt bnyk, umpama buih di laut. buih yg kosong, dipukul ombak kesanasini, and mudah sgt pecah kan? oh sye tak mahu jadi buih di laut. sye mahu jadi golongan yg Rasulullah ceritakan dlm hadis dia yg lagik satu, di mana akan ada satu golongan yg memegang agama seperti menggengam bara api.

hari tu bila keluar shopping dgn ayah kat KL, tgok muda mudi kiri kanan. cara pakaian, tutur kata dan budi bicara. keluar in group lelaki dan perempuan. caci maki dan perkataan tak senonoh tu seperti air yg keluar dari mulut diorg. melepak bergelak ketawa tak hirau keliling. astagfirullah, sye takut dan malu. sye pun muda mudi. sye jugak mereka. tp sye sendiri bnyk cela, masih terlalu perlahan dalam menyampaikan Islam itu pada kalangan sye sendiri :S terasa diri ni jahil sgt. sedih rasa sbb dh nmpk sgt apa yg Rasulullah maksudkan dgn buih2 tu (moga Allah bg kekuatan dan knowledge utk bawa generasi ini kearah kegemilang Islam insyaAllah)

jadi sye tanya ayah sye, knp ramai sgt dah macam ni. ayah sye cakap, "kan mmg Allah dan Rasulullah dah bgtau those the chosen ones (note the S on ones) mmg akan jadi sedikit kat akhir zaman. so bersyukurlah Allah chose you to be in jamaah, ada yg sentiasa membimbing dan menasihati moga2 kita termasuk dlm golongan the chosen ones tu insyaAllah"

ALHAMDULILLAH ALHAMDULILLAH ALHAMDULILLAH thanks Allah for placing me in jamaah, and giving me parents that really understand maratib amal.

Oreo Banana Cream Pie

today is a good day, alhamdulillah. made new friends, insyaAllah hopefully the ukhuwah will be beneficial both ways.

will upload the pictures soon, when Nazira send me those pictures ;) and due to the request, here is the recipe for the pie :)

Oreo cookie crust
  • 1 1/2 of Oreo biscuit ( around 15 pieces of the cookie sandwich)
  • 5 tbsp of melted butter
  1. Place the biscuits in a zip-lock bag and press the air out of the bag before sealing it
  2. Just crush away with hammer (or any hard things hihi)
  3. pour the biscuit in a bowl and add your melted butter, just mix everything together until everything is coated with the butter
  4. place the mixture in your pie pan and spread it till you cover the whole bottom of your pan
  5. bake for 5-10 minutes at 350F
  6. remove and let it cool before pouring the topping

p/s : I applied a layer of white egg on top of the base to prevent the base from become soggy. and i think this recipe can be used for any other type of biscuit too :)

Banana Cream Pie
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 ripe bananas
  1. Mix sugar, flour and salt in a sauce pan.
  2. Stir in the milk, and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  3. Add the egg yolks one at a time, stirring after each addition.
  4. Continue to cook the custard, stirring constantly, for around 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the butter, the mashed banana and the vanilla.
  6. Let cool for 15 minutes, then pour into the prepared crust.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, until thoroughly chilled.
p/s serve with whipped cream, if you want. for whipped cream, I just use fresh cream, icing sugar (this to make the whipped cream hold longer outside the fridge) and vanilla. whip the cream until thicken (dont overbeat it - buttery texture means too much beating)

hope this recipe helps :)

(HR. Bukhari no. 5660 dan Muslim no. 2571).

alhamdulillah :)

(155) And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).(156) Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: "Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return." (157) They are those on whom are the Salawat (i.e. blessings, etc.) (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones.

Burnt Toast

“When I was a little Boy, I remember one day in particular when she had made breakfast. She must have been very tired. My mom placed a plate of eggs, and rather burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed.

Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how was I ready for school. I don’t remember what I replied, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jam on that toast and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And I’ll never forget what he said: ‘Baby, I love burned toast.’

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy and I asked him if he really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, ‘Your Momma works hard day after day and she’s real tired. And besides a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!’ You know, life is full of imperfect things…..and imperfect people. I’m not the best football player either.

What I’ve learned over the years is that learning to accept each other’s faults – and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences – is the one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

We should learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of Allah. Because in the end, He’s the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where burnt toast isn’t a deal-breaker! We could extend this to any relationship in fact – as understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!!”

Allah said:

And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur'an), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islamic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided.[Al-'Imran:103]

6 life lessons

Lesson 1: Naked Wife

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, “I’ll give you $800 to drop that towel.” After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob.

After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 dollars and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks,…

“Who was that?” “It was Bob the next door neighbor,” she replies. “Great!” the husband says, “Did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?”

Moral of the story:

If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, “I’ll give each of you just one wish” “Me first! Me first!” says the administration clerk. “I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.” Poof! She’s gone. “Me next! Me next!” says the sales rep. “I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.” Poof! He’s gone. “OK, you’re up,” the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, “I want those two back in the office after lunch.”

Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 3

A priest offered a lift to a Nun. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said,”Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest removed his hand. But,changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, “Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest apologized “Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.” Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, “Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.”

Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 4

A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked him,”Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?” The crow answered: “Sure, why not.” So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.

A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up.

Lesson 5: Power of Charisma

A turkey was chatting with a bull “I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree,” sighed the turkey, but I haven’t got the energy.” “Well, why don’t you nibble on my droppings?” replied the bull. “They’re packed with nutrients.” The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

Lesson 6

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Moral of the story:

1. Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy

2. Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend

3. And when you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut!

Beautiful Sabar

people always say patience is virtue but we never really take time to look into it. until and unless you go thro rough patch or stormy sea with PATIENCE.

to be patience, to not complain, and to endure the tears. not an easy thing to do, but when you put all your hope and faith in Allah, this is when fasobrun jameel comes. it took me a long time to try understanding that beautiful phrase mentioned in Al Quran (12:18)

to achieve fasobrun jameel is not easy. but once you arrive there, it is just beautiful :) keep your intention (niat) lillahi, never stop saying dua' to Him, hold your faith on Him and put your trust in Him.
